Product Name: Win/Mac Encryption Status

Version: 1.0

Description : This procedure pulls details about the status of disk encryption on a machine. On Windows, it pulls detailed Bitlocker status info, schedules itself to run again if an operation (encryption or decryption) is in progress, and uploads the Bitlocker recovery key (if applicable). On macOS, it just pulls a true/false value that indicates whether FileVault is enabled.

All data pulled from the machine is uploaded to custom fields so that it is available for views, reports, and other procedures.

Instructions :

Installation/use requires the import of a procedure and the creation of two custom System Info fields. See readme.txt for detailed information.

    If I only wanted to use this procedure for Mac FileVault, how might I accomplish that?

    When I try to import the _MACOSX - Status-Disk Encryption - ._Procedure Status - Disk Encryption.xml and save, I get this error:

    • The file you are trying to import is not formatted correctly. It contains invalid XML.
