KAV Installation Fails with Exit Code 255: "Install failed, exit code 255". - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>Issue: </strong>While updating Kaspersky, the installation finishes with the following error: <em>Install failed, exit code 255. </em></p> <p><strong>Resolution: </strong>There are two ways to resolve the error - see below:</p> <p><strong>Option 1:</strong> Clear the pending error and apply a new profile via "Antivirus > Machines > Actions button":</p> <p><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/CKF3MLJI1YTH/mceclip0.png" alt="image" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p><strong>Option 2:</strong> Perform a "Repair Antivirus Install" with the following option:</p> <p><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/R1OEHNEPR18P/mceclip1.png" width="569" height="95" alt="image" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p><br><strong>Note:</strong> <strong>1.</strong> A repair will reboot the machine, <strong>2.</strong> Do not perform repair install on DC.</p> </article> </main>
