Password reset emails are not sent for a user in BMS. - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>QUESTION</strong></p> <p>When I try to<strong> reset and email password</strong> for a user, emails are not sent. </p> <p>Email is not found in<strong> Admin > Logs > Email Logs</strong></p> <p><strong>ANSWER</strong></p> <p>Check if the user has any<em> External Authentication Type</em> like SSO or MFA set in <strong>HR>Employees.</strong> </p> <p>When you turn on 2FA or choose any Authenticator type for BMS, reset password will not send an email out to the user because they can not use this password anywhere in BMS. <br><br>If the authentication method is not set, please review our generic article <a rel="nofollow" href="https://kaseya.vanillacommunities.com/kb/articles/aliases/kaseya/hc/en-gb/articles/115003667928-BMS-Is-Not-Sending-Password-Reset-Emails">here</a>.</p> <p> </p> </article> </main>
