Unable to discover "Packets In/Out" interface tests on switch - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>Question:</strong></p> <p>By default, our signature rejects the Packets In/Out tests for a switch due to most of these devices being Layer-2.</p> <p><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>Attached to this article is a signature that will allow discovery of the Packets In and Packets Out tests against a switch.</p> <p><strong>Deploying:</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="https://kaseya.vanillacommunities.com/kb/articles/aliases/kaseya/hc/en-gb/articles/229042108-Deploying-a-new-device-or-application-signature" rel="noopener nofollow">(Click to open in new tab)</a></strong></p> <p>After deploying the signature, you should now be able to discover the Packets In/Out ("Network Interface: Packets Transmitted" subType 'interface_pkt_rate') tests for device type 'switch'.</p> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>The attached signature does not filter against specific interface types (i.e. all interface types would be able allowed).</p> </article> </main>
