<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>PROBLEM:</strong></p> <p>Linux silent installation terminates with the message;</p> <p>ERROR: Unable to locate cached installation parameters<br>ERROR: Cannot proceed with non-interactive installation</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>CAUSE:</strong></p> <p>Silent install does not correctly set up the cache file for the installer when upgrading to a major release (e.g. upgrading from 7.0 to 9.1) to proceed</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESOLUTION or WORKAROUND:</strong></p> <p>Copy the existing 'answers' file. For example, from a shell prompt, if the current release is 7.0 and the new one is 9.1;</p> <p>sudo cp /opt/traverse/.traverse.install.cache.7.0 /opt/traverse/.traverse.install.cache.9.1</p> <p> </p> <p>Note: the cache file suffix is the current major release number (e.g. 8.0, 9.0, 9.1, 9.3, 9.4)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>APPLIES TO:</strong></p> <p>All versions of Traverse </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>REFERENCE:</strong></p> <p>None</p> </article> </main>
