False Offsite Replication alerts received after changing Offsite Server connection details - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="problem">Problem</h3> <p>An Offsite Alert is configured for a Local Server.</p> <p>The IP address or DNS name of the Offsite Server has been changed.</p> <p>Replication is working, but VSA is generating false alerts stating that Local Server has failed to connect to Offsite Server.</p> <p> </p> <p> <img src="/attachments/token/XtkTMZmlJVz1IRQxw4b0QEsld/?name=2015-04-09+15_19_19-Managed+Support.jpg" alt="2015-04-09_15_19_19-Managed_Support.jpg" width="791" height="132" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <h3 data-id="cause">Cause</h3> <p>If IP address or DNS name of the Offsite Server changes, it does not automatically update the Offsite Alert</p> <h3 data-id="solution">Solution</h3> <p>If the IP address or the DNS name of the <em>Offsite Server</em> has changed recently then please follow the below steps:</p> <p> - go to <em>Backup>Offsite Alerts</em> page </p> <p>- select the affected <em>Local Server</em> agent <br>- reapply desired alert configuration</p> <h3 data-id="applies-to">Applies To</h3> <p> </p> <p>Version 6.5 and later</p> </article> </main>
