Mount Error: "Failed to Obtain the Backup Contents" - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>Problem:</strong></p> <p>When attempting to mount a backup file via Acronis Manager, you get the following error:</p> <p><img src="/attachments/token/0c3L4MqlWIpMD0XIc4MXtqD0x/?name=volbackup-mount-error.png" alt="volbackup-mount-error.png" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p>Or mounting the file via Windows Explorer fails to open the file.</p> <p><strong>Solution:</strong></p> <p>1. Confirm that the logged-in user has local administrator privileges.</p> <p>2. Confirm that the backup is not corrupted by confirming if the verifies were successful in the backup logs.</p> <p>3. Confirm that the issue is not environmental by attempting to open the backup file in another machine on the network.</p> <p> </p> <p>if the above steps do not help, please contact Kaseya Support.</p> <p> </p> </article> </main>
