Data Backup agent "install failed" - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="problem">Problem</h3> <ul><li>after trying to install Data Backup to an agent using <em>Data Backup > Configure > Install/Remove</em> page, <em>Installed</em> column shows "Install failed"</li> </ul><h3 data-id="cause">Cause</h3> <ul><li>there may be no Data Backup agent licenses available</li> <li>to check this, go to <em>System > Server Management > License Manager</em>, click on <em>Licenses</em> tab, and check if "used" count is equal to or exceeds "max" for "Data Backup Servers" or "Data Backup Workstations" (depending on OS of agent that fails to install)</li> </ul><h3 data-id="resolution">Resolution</h3> <ul><li>purchase more licenses or uninstall Data Backup from any agents where it is no longer needed </li> </ul><h3 data-id="applies-to">Applies to</h3> <p>Kaseya VSA (Data Backup module) - all versions</p> </article> </main>
