Remote Control CPU utilization on agent machine - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>SYMPTOMS</strong></p> <p>When remote controlling an agent using Kaseya Remote Control (KRC), the host process (KaseyaRemoteControlHost.exe) consumes a significant amount of CPU resource.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>CAUSE</strong></p> <p>"Typical" CPU consumption by the host service is between 10 and 25%.</p> <p>Higher utilization may be encountered under one or more of the following conditions : -</p> <p>- the agent machine has limited CPU resource</p> <p>- the agent machine has a very high screen resolution</p> <p>- an application is being used with rich graphics and/or rapid screen changes (including video or animations, for example)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>SOLUTION</strong></p> <p>Kaseya Remote Control does not have any functionality to reduce or "throttle" CPU usage.</p> <p>If video performance (screen refresh rate) within the remote control session is poor when connecting to certain agents, click <a rel="nofollow" href="https://kaseya.vanillacommunities.com/kb/articles/aliases/kaseya/entries/100414693">here </a>for more information.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>APPLIES TO</strong></p> <p>Kaseya VSA (v7.0 and above)</p> </article> </main>
