<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>QUESTION:</strong></p> <p>How to change the IP address of a BVE?</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESOLUTION:</strong></p> <p>On the BVE (or combined BVE/DGE) server:</p> <ul><li>Stop all the Traverse components</li> <li>Update the network settings in the operating system</li> <li>Start all the Traverse components</li> </ul><p>If the BVE also has a DGE installed on it, for any DGEx which uses this server as the Upstream DGE, on the WebApp:</p> <ul><li>Navigate to Superuser >> DGE MGMT</li> <li>For each DGEx using this Upstream DGE, select 'Update' and update the IP address of the Upstream DGE</li> </ul><p>On each DGE extension and separate DGE server:</p> <ul><li>Stop all the Traverse components</li> <li>Change all references (8 as of this writing) in 'TRAVERSE_HOME\etc\emerald.xml' to the IP address (or Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the BVE.
