<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>QUESTION:</strong></p> <p>How to alert when a test value is too high or too low?</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESOLUTION:</strong></p> <p>To configure a test which will alert on both high and low values proceed as follows; (refer to screenshot below)</p> <ul><li>create or edit the relevant test </li> <li>change 'as test value rises severity' to bidirectional</li> <li>for a warning threshold, enter '20,85'</li> <li>for a critical threshold, enter '10,95'</li> <li>click on submit</li> </ul><p>In the example provided, when the value of the test is 10 or less than 10 or 95 or greater than 95, the test will be considered Critical.</p> <p>When the value of the test is 20 or between 20 and 10, or 85 or between 85 and 95, the test will be considered Warning</p> <p>When the value of the test is between more than 20 and less than 85, the test will be considered OK.</p> <p>The values 10, 20, 85 and 95 are for illustrative purposes and must be set as appropriate for your test.</p> <p> </p> <p><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/DTCBG6A3FWWS/bidirectional-test.png" alt="" width="1101" height="546" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p><strong>APPLIES TO:</strong></p> <p>All versions of Traverse</p> <p> </p> </article> </main>
