KB#: KKB000159

Question

We want to monitor the physical disks, processor, etc from a VMware ESX server. At the moment we need to walk to the servers and check manually. Can Kaseya be used for this?

Answer

Although you cannot install a kaseya agent on an ESX server, ESX does support SNMP. You can use a kaseya agent on another machine to use SNMP to query this device.

Information about ESX and SNMP can be found here - http://www.vmware.com/pdf/esx2_admin.pdf

To properly monitor VMWare ESX, you can use the Network Monitor module.
