When running an image location check for about 60 computers at the same time, all with the same UNC path, why do 75% return "Bad Path" while others succeed? - Connect IT Community | Kaseya

Nothing has changed.

If the test is run in group of less that 30 computer, then all succeed.

This is due to a limitation of the target device. If the device is a windows machine, then you may be hitting a maximum number of concurrent connections limit. This has been seen with various NAS devices - they cannot handle many connections at once, in fact the Lacie NAS boxes have a hard limit of 5 concurrent connections.

ANSWER

Stagger the tests to confirm that all the settings are correct, and ensure that you dont ask all the machines to hit that box at the same time in future.

Example outside of kaseya -http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs&tid=6fb8637b-18d9-4f40-af7e-48a5312659b5&p=1

APPLIES TO

Kaseya Server
NAS
Patch management
Backup
