QUESTION

Deploying an Oracle database monitor

ANSWER

You will need to install the 'Oracle database instant client' package on the Kaseya Network Monitor (KNM) host machine. This package can be found on Oracle's homepage.

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/oci/index.html

After installation you will need to make sure that the folder where you installed the package is in the Windows system path. This might require a reboot of the server. After altering the system path, you will also need to restart the KNM service for the change to take effect. If KNM cannot access the dll files it needs, the Oracle monitor will fail with an error message stating that it cannot find the dll files.

APPLIES TO

Kaseya Network Monitor, KNM 4+
