KInstall Fails With Error 0x80004005 - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p><strong>Issue: </strong>When running <a rel="nofollow" href="/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&target=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.kaseya.com%2FKInstall.exe">KInstall</a> it fails with the following error <strong>0x80004005</strong>:</p> <p><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/I486KO7HEF41/1.png" alt="1.png" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p><strong>Cause: </strong>This occurs when running the KInstall while connected to the server from an RDP session with low screen resolution. </p> <p><strong>Resolution: </strong>Increase the resolution to <strong>32 colors</strong> or over <strong>800x600 </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Applies to:</strong> KServer.</p> </article> </main>
