VSA Backup (KBU)

End-of-life notice for Kaseya Backup (KBU aka BUDR)

As part of our ongoing modernization of the VSA platform and its integration eco-system, we are announcing end-of-life (EOL) for the Kaseya Backup (KBU, aka BUDR - powered by Acronis v11) module in VSA.

This module was first released in 2007.
New sales were discontinued on December 31st, 2019
Additional licenses for existing customers will no longer be available after May 31st, 2023.
Support for the module will be terminated on December 31st, 2023, and billing will be stopped.
The Kaseya Backup (KBU aka BUDR) module will not be supported in VSA 10.
MSP customers are encouraged to upgrade to either Datto File Protect, Datto Endpoint Backup, Datto Appliances, or to Kaseya Cloud Backup (KCB) which offers similar functionality to Kaseya Backup at a very attractive price.
SMB customers are encouraged to upgrade to either a Unitrends Backup solution or Kaseya Cloud Backup (KCB) which offers similar functionality to Kaseya Backup. There is an upgrade program available for KBU (BUDR) users to upgrade to either product at a very attractive price.

Please note that Kaseya Cloud Backup (KCB - powered by Acronis Backup Cloud) is not affected by the end-of-life announcement and will continue to be supported in VSA 9 and a future release of VSA 10.
