Error messages regarding unsuccessful volume group creation may display. </p> <h2 data-id="resolution"><strong>RESOLUTION</strong></h2> <p>To resolve this issue, upgrade your appliance to version 10.3 or later. </p> <h2 data-id="cause"><strong>CAUSE</strong></h2> <p>Eth0 resolves to ipaddr as "unknown" in a bonded NIC configuration. The AHV aprotect.py script accepts this "unknown" value as an IP address, which it tries to configure as an additional IP address with the Nutanix API in order to allow iSCSI attachment. This causes the Nutanix API to return an error because of the invalid IP address.</p> </article> </main>
