<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>The Instant VM Recovery tab lists all instantly recovered VMs with options to manage each</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p></p> <p>The Instant VM Recovery tab lists all instantly recovered VMs with options to manage each.</p> <p><strong>Figure - Instant Recovery tab</strong></p> <p><img alt="User-added image" height="67" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/3G471ZMICHF5/eid-ka01w000000tcbc-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mkla." width="500" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img></p> <p>The Instant VM Recovery table consists of the following columns:</p> <ul><li> <strong>Name</strong> - Name of the IR VM.</li> <li> <strong>Environment</strong> - The environment in which the IR VM exists.</li> <li> <strong>Host</strong> - The host on which the IR VM exists.</li> <li> <strong>Status</strong> - Displays the current status of the IR VM and for each child job/process. Status messages can include: <ul><li> <strong>Creating</strong> - IR job was created and IR VM is currently being created. User cannot use the VM yet.</li> <li> <strong>Active</strong> - IR VM was created (Create IR VM job is complete and visible in jobs history).</li> <li> <strong>Ending</strong> - IR Job was manually Ended by the user. (End IR job is visible in active jobs).</li> <li> <strong>Ended</strong> - IR session was ended by the user (End IR job is visible in jobs history).</li> <li> <strong>Error</strong> - An error occurred with the IR process.</li> <li> <strong>Active (Seed in Progress)</strong> - Seed job was started and is visible in active jobs. VM can be accessed and used by the user.</li> <li> <strong>Active (Ready to Complete UVB Motion)</strong> - Seed job has completed and is visible in the jobs history.</li> <li> <strong>Completing UVB Motion</strong> - Complete UVB Motion action was initiated by the user. Complete UVB Motion job is visible in active jobs.</li> <li> <strong>Complete</strong> - IR VM was moved via Complete UVB motion (in which case Complete UVB motion job is visible in jobs history) or IR VM was moved via storage vMotion.</li> </ul></li> <li> <strong>Backup Details</strong> - Information about the backup used to create the IR VM.</li> <li> <strong>Write Space Used</strong> - Percentage of Write Space used by the IR VM.</li> <li> <strong>Started</strong> - When the IR was created.</li> <li> <strong>Duration</strong> - How long the IR VM or was/has been active.</li> </ul><p>From the toolbar, you can create <strong>Instant Recovery (IR)</strong> jobs and when they are finished, start and then complete the UVB Motion Seed process. For more on creating Instant Recovery jobs and the seeding process see <a rel="nofollow" href="/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&target=https%3A%2F%2Funitrends-support.zendesk.com%2Fhc%2Fen-us%2Farticles%2F360013177617">Create Instant Recovery Job dialog (8.0)</a>.</p> <p>Clicking <img alt="User-added image" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/0WU3KP62P8HL/eid-ka01w000000tcbc-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mklf." class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img> will end the IR process for the VM and move the session that was ended into the <strong>Explore IR Sessions History </strong>table (see the next section below).</p> <h2 data-id="explore-ir-sessions-history">Explore IR Sessions History</h2> <p>To view historic IR session details, click <img alt="User-added image" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/IMI0MOT35LK9/eid-ka01w000000tcbc-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mklk." class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img>. A dialog will open with a detailed table similar to the one that appears on the <strong>Instant VM Recovery</strong> tab.</p> <h2 data-id="view-details">View Details</h2> <p>When you click<img alt="User-added image" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/ASUNQV9KOYUS/eid-ka01w000000tcbc-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mklp." class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img> at the top of the tab, another table will appear at the bottom of the tab. The table will be sorted by name. Speed</strong> - Average speed of the data written.</li> </ul> </article> </main>
