<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p>When viewing the License Manager page, the Hosts tab only shows one Host instead of all of them.</p> <h2 data-id="resolution"><strong>RESOLUTION</strong></h2> <p>Below are the recommended steps: </p> <ol><li>Find a computer you know is working well, preferably a physical system. Install the vSphere Client and PHD Console onto that computer. Administer the system as you would normally. Check the License Manager page and see if the Hosts tab shows the other hosts. Regardless of the License value applied, you should still see all the ESXi Hosts listed in the Hosts tab.<br> </li> <li>Use the Tools > VBA Health Monitor to look at each VBA and ensure they are all showing a good report (no alerts). If you see any with Alerts, temporarily power them off. Once the PHD VBAs with problems are turned off, close the vSphere Client and PHD Client, then open them up again.<br> </li> <li>If the issue continues, the problem must be related to vCenter. Follow the instructions from VMware KB 1023985 titled Backing up and restoring vCenter Server 4.x and 5.0 (1023985) and backup the vCenter. Re-deploying the vCenter itself, and then import the backup data you generated. I am not certain if VMware Support can provide the help you with deploying the older vCenter 5.0, but the goal is to re-deploy the vCenter so that the UUID is the same as the old vCenter (so there are not problems with recognition with PHD.</li> </ol><h2 data-id="cause"><strong>CAUSE</strong></h2> <p>A communication disruption between the vCenter and the PHD Console. This can be caused by latency, network problems, or limited resources.</p> </article> </main>
