<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>Viewing Backup Details</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p></p> <h3 data-id="purpose">Purpose</h3> <p>This article details how to find details on files contained in a specific file-level backup</p> <h3 data-id="description">Description</h3> <p>Where can I find details on files contained in a specific file-level backup?</p> <h3 data-id="cause">Cause</h3> <p>N/A</p> <h3 data-id="resolution">Resolution</h3> <p>There are two ways to view the details of the files/folders that were backed up:</p> <p><u>First Method</u></p> <ol><li>Navigate to the <b>Web Administrator Interface </b>via web browser</li> <li>Go to <b>Reports</b> </li> <li>Go to <b>Backups</b> </li> <li>Select the desired backup</li> <li>In the dialog box that pops up, click the <b>Details</b> button</li> </ol><p> </p> <p><u>Second Method</u></p> <p><u>Windows</u></p> <ol><li>On the client machine, go to the Unitrends Agent installation directory (typically “C:\PCBP”)</li> <li>Navigate inside the Catalog.dir directory</li> <li>Select the catalog file that correlates to the type of backup and date for the backup in question</li> <li>Open the file as a text file in programs such as Notepad<br> </li> </ol><p><u>Linux/Unix</u></p> <ol><li>On the client machine, go to the Unitrends Agent installation directory (typically “/usr/bp/”)</li> <li>Navigate inside the catalog.dir directory</li> <li>Select the catalog file that correlates to the type of backup and date for the backup in question</li> <li>Open the file in a text editor such as nano or vi<br> </li> </ol><p><u>Remote Mount</u></p> <ol><li>On the Unitrends backup system, navigate to “/usr/bp”</li> <li>Navigate inside the catalog.dir directory</li> <li>Select the catalog file that correlates to the type of backup and date for the backup in question</li> <li>Open the file in a text editor such as nano or vi</li> </ol><p> </p> <h3 data-id="third-party-sources">Third-Party Sources</h3> <ul><li>Backup Warnings / Skipped Files (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://kaseya.vanillacommunities.com/kb/articles/aliases/unitrends/ikm/questions.php?questionid=824">http://support.unitrends.com/ikm/questions.php?questionid=824</a>)</li></ul><p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> </article> </main>
