<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>Unitrends appliances may misidentify iSCSI LUNs as eSATA devices following backup copy target media scan.</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p> Unitrends appliances deployed as installable software may misidentify iSCSI LUNs as eSATA devices following backup copy target media scan. This is a rare case that only occurs if the conditions below are met in the order presented: </p> <ol><li>An eSATA Recovery Archive device is configured as a backup copy target.</li> <li>52 or more iSCSi LUNs are added.</li> <li>The appliance is rebooted. </li> <li>A media scan is performed and the Recovery Archive device is reformatted.</li> </ol> Note: This issue only occurs if the iSCSI card appears before the eSATA card in the media scan sequence. <h2 data-id="resolution"><strong>RESOLUTION</strong></h2> <p>To resolve this issue, upgrade your appliance to version 10.2. </p> </article> </main>
