<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>Steps to resolve "Failed to create VM" error</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p></p> <div> <p>If you are experiencing issues while restoring virtual machines, specifically, if the restore fails with an error “Failed to create VM,” please review the following:</p> <ul><li>Ensure that the account used by PHD Virtual has administrator privileges (PHD Console > Configuration > General tab). </li> <li>If the connection to the vSphere client is using FQDN, try using the IP address, instead.</li> <li>Reboot the PHD VBA.
