For other file systems, you can use the available iSCSI or NFS options.</p> <p>Recovering Files using an NFS share</p> <p>NFS shares can mount on a linux machine or on Windows if configured for NFS.</p> <p>Recovering Files using an iSCSI target</p> <p>iSCSI targets require a password that can be either system generated or custom. Passwords must also be at least 12 characters in length.</p> <p>To connect to an iSCSI target, you need to have an iSCSI initiator installed. These are available in most later Windows operating systems by default. If you’re mounting the share on a linux machine, use the initiator available for your operating system.</p> <p><b>Note that file recovery fails for ext2/ext3 filesystems when CIFS/NFS is used. iSCSI must be used to recover files on ext2/ext3 filesystems</b></p> </article> </main>
