Cannot Confirm Client after Bare Metal Restore - Connect IT Community | Kaseya
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>This article explains why after a bare metal restore, the client can ping the DPU and the DPU can ping the client but the DPU cannot confirm the client.</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p>The Bare Metal restore completes successfully but you can’t do a file level restore and the DPU can’t confirm the client because the Unitrends Agent will not start. The Unitrends Agent will not start because it was installed on a drive other than the C: drive and the Bare Metal restore only restores the C: drive. </p> <h4 data-id="to-restore-this-error">To restore this error:</h4> <p>Uninstall the Unitrends Agent and then reinstall it on the C: drive. Once that is completed, re-confirm the client and then perform the file level restore.
