<main> <article class="userContent"> <h2 data-id="summary"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h2> <p>Create Archive Job dialog (8.0)</p> <h2 data-id="issue"><strong>ISSUE</strong></h2> <p></p> <p>After creating Archive storage on the <strong>Configure - Environments</strong> page, you are ready to create archive jobs. There are two ways to create an archive job. The first is a Single Job performed manually by the user. The second is a 'triggered job' which runs automatically based on the schedule of a selected backup job.</p> <p> </p> <h2 data-id="archive-now-job">Archive Now Job</h2> <p>An Archive Now job, lets you archive selected backups to a pre-configured archive storage location by selecting backups in the backups tab then launching the archive job dialog. This is done through the <strong>Backups</strong> tab of the <strong>Recover</strong> page.</p> <p> </p> <h3 data-id="to-create-an-archive-now-job">To Create an Archive Now Job</h3> <ol><li>Go to the <strong>Recover</strong> page - <strong>Backups</strong> tab and select the backup(s) to archive from the VM(s).</li> <li>Click <img alt="User-added image" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/RNUAAUXDPCOB/eid-ka01w000000tcss-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mjpe." class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img> .<br><br> The <strong>Archive Backups</strong> dialog will open.<br> </li> <li>Enter the <strong>Job Name</strong>, <strong>Archive Destination</strong> (the archive storage target you created on the <strong>Configure - Storage tab</strong>), the email address or addresses where you would like the report to be sent, and when the reports should be sent.<br><br><strong>Figure - Archive Backups dialog</strong><br><br><img alt="User-added image" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6032361/uploads/migrated/VBWS0CRWRQXR/eid-ka01w000000tcss-feoid-00n40000002yvfa-refid-0em40000000mjpj." class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img><br> </li> <li>Click <strong>Submit</strong> when finished. Once launched, the archive job will appear on the <strong>Active Jobs</strong> tab of the <strong>Jobs</strong> page.</li> </ol><p> </p> <h2 data-id="scheduled-or-triggered-archive-job">Scheduled or 'Triggered' Archive Job</h2> <p>A scheduled archive job lets you archive all backups created by a selected backup job automatically each time that job runs. Note the environment and schedule of each job displayed. This archive job will run each time the selected backup job completes.</li> <li>After selecting the job, the VMs within that job are displayed. Once launched, the archive job will appear on the <strong>Active Jobs</strong> tab of the <strong>Jobs</strong> page.</li> </ol><p> </p> <p>Each time the selected backup job completes, the archive job will kick off and begin archiving the newly created backups to the configured location.</p> <p> </p> <h3 data-id="to-run-a-scheduled-archive-job">To run a scheduled archive job</h3> <p>To run a scheduled archive job right away, use the Job Manager tab and select the backup job you configured as the trigger for the archive job. This is displayed in the archive job's schedule column in parentheses.</p> <p>Click run to start the backup job. When the backup job completes, the archive job will begin creating archived copies.</p> </article> </main>
